Our assignment was to animate a character, who had been out all night and now was in class. He should take his arms over his head to stretch, then loose balance, fall down on his chair and react. We had 5 days to work and 125-200 frames, and I think the my result is OK, even though the week was quite a rollercoaser ride for me.

My class worked with Peter Tsaykel on this exercise, which we had 2 weeks to finish, from thumnailing to blocking to lipsync to polish. There are still a LOT of things I'd like to polish and work further on, but for two weeks I think it's allright. My audioclip is from Twin Peaks.

I haven't been drawing much the last 6 weeks, because I've been spending my time animating on an online computergame, Subway Samurai. I'll post a link for it when I have one. Until then I'll treat you with a poor caricature I made while I was left alone in my friends apartment.

A school assignment.
Making transitions between different walks is really hard! I had one week to make the 3 diffent walk cycles, and the next week to make the transitions. I'm not that satisfied with it, but it's my first try and I feel like I now understand how to do transitions the right way from now on :)

Below is some characters I did for another 'Animation Jam' week at school. Just as last time, we had 5 days to make a 30-60 sec animation movie. We worked in groups of 8 with an assinged instructor, our group got to work with Tod Polson . Perhaps i'll post my animation scenes from the project later!

I'm very inspired by Charley Harper and animals at the moment. Especially birds and owls. Since my mother and grandmother loves birds, I decided to do these for christmas for them.

Oh, and I finally discovered the stamp tool in photoshop! This has definetly whetted my appetite for painting more of my drawings. Merry Christmas y'all!

Just thought I'd share this drawing I did while attending 'The Drawing Academy' in 2007, where we spend most of the time drawing classical drawing, based on the old Renaissance masters character style. One week our teacher gave us an assignment, which was to illustrate a scene from a Karen Blixen/Isak Dinesen short story, with ink. I love drawing with ink, so more stuf will come up eventually! Yay.

This week we (the animation line) have cooperated with the CGline on making 30-seconds movies in 5 days. It's the first time we have worked together, and it has been a really funny and nice experience. We worked in groups of seven, and we had to choose between the subjects; 2012 (apocalypse), christmas or a fetish. We choose 2012, but with christmas and fetish references in it. I'll maybe put out the final version later.

This is the result from our first group assignment in first semester. My group was Christian Bøving Andersen and Aimall Shafari. We were asked to pull a location, a feeling and a styleart from a hat and make a 30 sec animation based on these. Our keywords was At The Hairdresser, Insanity and Don Hertzfeldt. We had 1½ week to preproduction, production and postproduction.
